Justin was born in South Africa, raised in the Welsh Valleys and now resides in Brighton. He has been co-editor of Bulb magazine, deputy editor at Corporate Watch and a columnist for Juno magazine. He's written for New Internationalist, Pure Living Magazine, Windsurf Magazine, Food and Drink Guides, Mothering magazine, Cadogan Travel Guides, Buzz magazine, Bizarre magazine, Carve Surfing Magazine, Fortean times, and Greenpeace.
He enjoys sculpting, literature, folklore, playing accordion, windsurfing, surfing, octopuses, Victoriana, diving, environmentalism, tea and architecture. He studied psychology at Plymouth University followed by journalism at Cardiff University.
